Family Support

Family Support Council

The Family Support Council is made up of family members, living within the Region 10 area, who have a family member with a disability. The council meets monthly to learn about the issues that families are facing in raising their child with a disability, offer suggestions and brainstorm together. They also oversee the Family Support Budget. Many of the council members sit on sub-committees of Region 10 such as Fundraising, Environmental Modifications, Waitlist, Respite, etc., therefore ensuring a family members representation on the committee.

Who are the members? The council members represent a cross-section of people. They live in many of the 11 towns that we serve and have children of all different ages. They are all volunteers.
